He learned from these experiences that effective leadership is a lifelong, dedicated journey toward personal growth. He declares, “I always admired those who guided me and eagerly anticipated the day when I would own my own company.”

Goals and Achievements

Alex’s ability to maximize his day depends on his intense focus. He chooses to maintain his time management discipline proactively, realizing that the industry allows him scheduling flexibility. “It helps me stay on task to have a to-do list in priority order,” he continues.

Furthermore, he splits his focus between his personal endeavors and deals and the day-to-day operations of the company. The most satisfying function he has is collaborating directly with each agent in his brokerage to ensure their personal success. He says, “I always keep an eye on what’s going on within the company and where we’re heading.”

Much later in his path, as a young, gifted, and prosperous entrepreneur, Alex remembers realizing the value of a work-life balance. “I’ve learned how to manage my overwork and put in a lot of hard work on my life,” he says.

The weekends are now used for resting and replenishing in order to maintain a work-life balance. “My fiancé and I are an adventurous pair who enjoy exploring new places and traveling together. A little trip or holiday can occasionally boost our spirits and give us the energy we need to return to the jobs we both love and share,” he continues.

In addition, it’s critical to control your feelings and the company’s direction. Acknowledging both successes and setbacks with equal grace is essential to comprehending the song of leadership.

According to Alex, these encounters influenced his thoughts and behavior as he developed into a more sober and accountable member of the team. “Having been in the trenches from the beginning and going through what any new agent goes through, I was able to develop a strategy for the company’s future. I have no regrets because I have gained something from every encounter,” he continues.

When you dedicate yourself to something greater than yourself and don’t look for anything in return, amazing things can happen. This kind of dedication really seeps into the company’s culture, the team’s, and ultimately the customer experience.

Because Alex is so motivated above and beyond what is apparent, his acts spread like wildfire and act as a source of inspiration and direction. His crew is undoubtedly in awe of his tenacity and ambition because, to him, every day is an opportunity to learn something new and improve upon the day before. He has a strong sense of responsibility for his group, the brand, and the community.

Because life is too short and he wants to achieve goals outside of business, Alex also believes that it’s critical to always recall your mission and to occasionally step off the “hamster wheel.”

Continuing the tradition of his family

As a member of a fourth generation family involved in the real estate industry, Alex considers it an honor and a duty to continue such an amazing history. 

He is driven to create even bigger and better upon the foundation that his grandfather and father, who were incredibly wise, started for him, and to make them proud. “I hope to pass the business on to a son or daughter someday, and I consider the future generations in everything I do,” he continues.

In the last few years, Alex has begun growing the company into new areas as well as new types of commercial real estate. “We are renowned for our work in both suburban and urban markets, and we are currently the largest land brokerage in the Southeast,” he says.

Subsequently, he promoted an organized conversation wherein a group of carefully chosen individuals contemplated their respective positions inside the company and the prospects for growth they could offer their clientele.

He added three more offices in the Southeast, employed twenty more full-time agents, and saw his finest year in sales in 2021—all inside the first 36 years of business. Simultaneously, he accomplished a significant milestone in his personal net worth and brokered 32 homes.

From his experience, he has seen a lot of people—brokers and agents, in particular—stress themselves needlessly and try to please everyone. Avoid trying to be everything at once because this will only cause mental congestion and disarray in all of your actions.

Lastly, he strongly advises acquiring as many skills as possible to increase your income potential. This would entail, in the real estate industry, creating rapport with owners, making thoughtful phone calls, and skillfully concluding transactions.
